Technical and Application Support for SURFE²R^® Users

Scientific Devices Heidelberg offers technical support, i.e. servicing, preventative maintenance, repairs for SURFE²R^® users. We provide a choice of different servicing contracts for our customers.

More than 40 transport proteins have been shown to work with the SURFE²R^® technology. Yet, establishing a new protein can still be a challenge. Scientific Devices Heidelberg provides several approaches for successful assay developments. We also assist SURFE²R^® users with their screening protocols.

Membrane Preparations

Many different preparations from a variety of sources will work on SURFE²R^® instruments. Scientific Devices Heidelberg will certainly have the right protocol for your membrane preparation. If not, we can develop and optimise preparation protocols for your particular task. Our experience covers the isolation of plasma membranes and subcellular membrane fractions from cultured cells and native tissues as well as the preparation of proteo-liposomes from purified proteins.

Design, Fabrication and Installation of SURFE²R^® Add-Ons

A number of add-ons are already available for SURFE²R^® instruments, i.e. light sources for light-driven proteins or automatic refill units for SURFE²R^® Workstations. If your protein or assay requires special conditions, which can not be realised with standard equipment, Scientific Devices Heidelberg will analyse your requirements and design the solution. We approach tasks from a biochemical or biophysical viewpoint and translate them into engineering projects. Our cooperating engineers and manufacturers provide us and our customers with 3D models and precisely machined parts, components and systems.
